Anxiety, bipolar, depression, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, suicide—If you don’t battle one or more of these conditions chances are you know someone who does. These services are not just for Log Church attendees nor do you have to be a church going person to utilize them. What we are offering is for anyone and everyone!

Reducing Childhood Trauma as a Community
Washington state has been working on reducing Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) for the last decade seeing some amazing results. Their model—the Self-Healing Communities Model—is now being implemented in Crow Wing County. Come learn more about this project and how it can benefit your community. Our Presenter – Tom Gonzalez grew up in a dysfunctional family and experienced many ACEs in his life. He now works with Bridges of Hope as co-project manager of the Self-Healing Communities Project in Crow Wing County. He is also working on a doctorate that involves research on ACEs. He has been married to Paula for almost thirty years and has two adult children: Thomas & Gabby.

LIVING GRACE MEN & WOMEN (SEPARATE CLASSES) – A Christ-centered approach for men & women affected by mental illness. Each Grace Group session allows for personal sharing & relationship building. Then, the group works together through each topic and allows for personal discovery through discussion and practicing the tools While Grace Group follows a weekly curriculum each group topic stands alone and allows for visitors at any point. Women’s group led by Jill Gibbs, Men’s group led by David VanNingen

GRIEF SHARE – It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member, or friend, you’ve probably found there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel. This can be a confusing time when you feel isolated and have many questions about things you’ve never faced before. GriefShare groups meet weekly to help you face these challenges and move toward rebuilding your life. Each GriefShare session has three distinct elements: video seminar with experts, support group discussion with focus, and personal study & reflection. Led by Nancy Koch & co-led by Tina Lunde.
